Empowered by Open Source

The Open Source community is thriving like never before.

Joomla is an award-winning content management system (CMS), which enables you to build Web sites and powerful online applications. Many aspects, including its ease-of-use and extensibility, have made Joomla the most popular Web site software available. Best of all, Joomla is an open source solution that is freely available to everyone.

Between Joomla and Wordpress, I haven't had to build a static HTML site in years. I have used Joomla for everything from one-man startup companies to massive, subscription-based news portals. Wordpress fills in for my podcasting needs (Joomla's addons are lacking in this area) and the occassional personal blog.

The communities for these two products are diverse and amazingly productive. Keeping up with the latest and greatest extensions or modifications for each site I deploy has eaten up all the available memory in my brain so I have to start writing it all down. Check out the Joomla Tips section for my latest discoveries and recommendations.
